Xiaomi offers the best raw specifications per cedi in the mid-range category. A Redmi Note at GH₵ 2,500 may have similar processor speed, RAM, and storage as a Samsung at GH₵ 3,500. The trade-off is less brand recognition and a smaller service network in Ghana.
The Infinix Note targets users who want large screens and multimedia performance. Stereo speakers, big displays, and fast processors make it a good choice for entertainment consumption and multitasking.
Apple iPhones command the highest prices in Ghana but also hold the best resale value. An iPhone purchased today can still sell for 60-70% of its original price two years later. The iOS ecosystem, camera quality, and long-term software support (5-6 years of updates) justify the premium for many buyers.

Before handing over your cedis, verify these critical details.
Network compatibility. Ensure the phone supports Ghanaian 4G bands. Most phones sold by official Ghanaian retailers are compatible, but grey market imports may not connect to all local networks.
Warranty coverage. Ask about the warranty terms, duration, and what it covers. Official retailer warranties typically last 12 months and cover manufacturing defects. Classifieds purchases rarely include any warranty.
Storage and RAM. For smooth performance with WhatsApp, social media, and MoMo, aim for at least 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Less than this will feel sluggish within months.
Battery capacity. Look for at least 5,000 mAh for all-day battery life. Larger batteries matter more in Ghana where access to charging throughout the day is not always guaranteed.
